6 - WORKING OPERATIONS
Disc and blades - HDS system
The implement is equipped with HDS discs on which the
blades are attached with bolts.
Discs, blade bolts and blades are made of high-alloyed,
hardened materials. This heat treatment provides espe-
cially hard and ductile material which is able to withstand
extreme stress.
NOTICE:
If a blade or a disc is damaged, do not attempt
to weld the parts together again as the generation of heat
will weaken the parts.
NOTE:
To obtain a safe operation, replace Damaged
blades, discs and blade holders with original spare parts.
NOTE:
Always lower the cutting unit to the ground before
you replace blades, blade holders, discs and the like.
NOTICE:
When you replace the blades, replace both
blades on the disc in question in order not to create any
unbalance.

Blade bolts and nuts
NOTE:
Use twisted or profile blades.
Check the bolts and the nuts regularly, especially the tight-

cially after collision with foreign matter, after the replace-
ment of blades and at the first time you use the implement.
Replace the bolts immediately if:
• The bolts are deformed

.
• The bolts are strongly worn on one side
