8 Instruction of PC Terminal Software of OTDR
The name of PC terminal software corresponding to OTDR is OTDR Traces Manager. The
software is dedicated software for OTDR that developed by us. The trace files generated from
measurement of OTDR can be opened through the software. It can provide user with convenient
data management function. These functions include: maintenance, browse, saving, copying
and printing of the tested data.
8.1 Installation of PC Terminal Software of OTDR
8.1.1 Requirements to the Installation Environment
The system configuration of the required installation environment of OTDR Traces Manager
is as follows:
z
Pentium 3 or Pentium 4 or private computer with similar configuration;
z
Microsoft Windows98/2000/XP/7 operation system;
z
Available space of hardware is larger than 40M;
z
CD-ROM larger than 8 speed.
8.1.2 Software Installation Steps
The installation steps are as follows:
z
Start up Windows operation system;
z
Escape other running application program;
z
Plug the attached disk into the CD driver; select and enter the folder of curve
processing software - “OTDR Traces Manager”;
z
Dblclick the OTDR Traces Manager.EXE to enter the installation program;
z
Install according to the prompt of installation guide unit completed.
8.1.3 Screen Resolution Ration Setting
For 4:3 screens, we recommend setting it to be 1024*768; for 16:9 screens, we recommend
setting it to be 1360*768.
