SAFETY CRITICAL PARTS

SAFETY CRITICAL PARTS

To ensure safety at all times when operating or driving the machine, the user of the machine must always carry out
periodic maintenance.  In addition, to further improve safety, please contact your Komatsu distributor for periodic
replacement of parts related to safety and fire prevention in the "SAFETY CRITICAL PARTS LIST".
Material quality of these parts can change as time passes and they are likely to wear our or deteriorate. However,
it is difficult to determine the extent of wear or deterioration at the time of periodic maintenance. Hence it is required
to replace them with new ones irrespective of their conditions after a certain period of usage. This is important to
ensure that these parts maintain their full performance at all the time.
Furthermore, should anything abnormal be found on any of these parts, replace it with a new one even if the periodic
replacement time for the parts has not yet arrived.
If any of the hose clamps show deterioration like deformation or crack, replace such a defective clamp with a new
one together with a defective hose.
Also carry out the following checks with hydraulic hoses which need not be replaced periodically. Tighten a loosened
clamp again or replace a defective hose, as such problem requires.

When replacing the hoses, always replace the O-rings, gaskets, and other such parts at the same time.

Ask your Komatsu distributor to replace the critical parts.
