WARNING
When folding or unfolding the blade, observe the following items.
• Place the machine on a firm and level place.
Do not place the machine on a slope.
• Place 50 mm {2 in} blocks under the right and left ends of the center blade and lower the blade to
the ground in a proper condition for folding or unfolding it.
Do not fold or unfold the blade unless it is lowered and set on the block.
If you remove the offset lock pin while the blade is not lowered and set on the block, the folding
blade may turn and you may be caught between the blade and track shoe.
• Stop the engine and securely set the work equipment lock lever and parking brake lever to their
LOCK positions before folding or unfolding the blade.
If the control lever is touched by accident, the machine may move suddenly, and this may lead to a
serious personal injury or death.
• Fold or unfold the blade on a level place.
If you remove the offset lock pin on a slope, the folding blade may turn and you may be caught be-
tween the blade and track shoe.
• Do not put your fingers into the pin hole of the offset lock pin.
The folding blade may turn and your fingers may be caught.
• Do not perform any work in between the blade and track while the lock plate has been removed.
The folding blade may turn and you may be caught between the blade and track.

it faces the front.
3.
Place 50 mm {2 in} blocks (A) under the right and left ends

CAUTION
• Be sure that lock plate (7) is locked to folding blade (5)
when removing offset lock pin (1).
If lock plate (7) is not locked to folding blade (5), fold-
ing blade (5) may instantly start rotating when offset
lock pin (1) comes off, and it is dangerous.
• Be careful when removing lock plate (2).
When lock plate (2) is removed, offset lock pin (1) falls.
• Do not remove hinge pin (4) in the rear of the blade.
