TRANSMISSION GEAR SHIFT LEVER (cont.)

Be sure the ATV is in the
N
eutral position before you start the engine.
•
If you cannot change gears, do not force gear shift lever into gear. Instead, try to change to the
N
eutral
position first, press the throttle and then try to change gears.

The white back-up lights will be illuminated when the transmission is shifted fully into
R
everse.

Do not attempt to shift the transmission while the vehicle is moving or while operating on hilly terrain.
!
Always place the transmission in gear with the parking brake locked whenever the vehicle is left
unattended.
!
For your safety, apply the rear brake lever when you shift to
R
everse. It you do not, the engine will stop
immediately. To restart the engine shift back to
N
eutral and use normal start procedure.
