5. Install the Shower Receptor
The receptor can be attached using large-headed roofing nails or screws. Check at the recommended
roofing nail locations to verify that the studs are within 1/8
″
(3 mm) of the receptor. If not, add
shims.
CAUTION: Risk of property damage.
Use caution in order to avoid hitting the unit with the hammer.
IMPORTANT!
Install the nail or screw above the flange. Do not nail or drill through the nailing-in flange.
Install flathead roofing nails or other large-headed fasteners over the top of the flange to pin the
flange of the receptor to the studs as shown.
Install the fasteners at all of the stud locations.
Verify that the fastener heads do not interfere with the installation of the wall surrounds or other
finished walls.
