CAUTION: Risk of scalding.
It is critical to confirm proper
operation of the temperature control. Scalding can occur
when it is not functioning properly.
Test the Trim for Correct Operation
CAUTION: Risk of scalding.
The installer must verify that
the maximum water temperature does not exceed 120°F
(49°C) when the temperature control is rotated all the way to
the left (full hot).
Turn the water on.
Turn the temperature control all the way to the right (cold). Make
sure the water temperature changes.
Turn the temperature control all the way to the left (hot). Make
sure the water temperature changes.
Push the button override and turn the temperature control all the
way to the left (full hot). Make sure the water temperature
changes.
Rotate the temperature control through all possible positions and
confirm proper operation.
If the water temperature does not change, remove the handle and
reassemble it or consult the troubleshooting table in the
Homeowners Guide.
