The water bath temperature should be at the
setpoint temperature before running the test. If
it has not yet reached the temperature the
below warning will appear.

Next, the screens shown in Figures 14 -
16 will appear. Follow the on-screen
instructions: Pour 180mL of the hot
sample into the test jar, place the test jar
onto the stage, place and attach the
temperature probe and hook the sinker
onto the balance hook. Once all steps are
completed, press the ‘Continue; button
which will appear on the bottom right
corner of the screen.

fter selecting ‘continue’ in the previous
screen, the sample will now start warming and
the mass of the sinker in air will be recorded
as shown in Figure 17 on the following page.
