4 Descriptions
4.1 Instrument Description

1. Touch Screen Control Panel. The unit is
controlled from this touch screen display.
2. USB Port. 2 USB ports located on the front of
the unit can be used for exporting to an
external drive or connecting a printer.
3. Water Tank Fill. The internal water circulator
is filled by pouring water here.
4. External Chiller Input and Output. For
testing below ambient temperature and
external chiller can be connected to these inlet
and outlet ports.
5. Pressure Adjustment Knob.
Used to adjust
the air pressure.
6. Water Outlet.
Water from the jacketed test
vessel goes back to the tank via this line.
7. Drip Pan.
The drip pan collects any oil that
spills and drips during the test. It is removable
for easy cleaning.
8. Water Inlet.
This line is the water inlet to the
jacketed test vessel.
9. Sinker Warmer.
Air bath used to warm the
sinker.
10. Jacketed Test Vessel.
Holds the oil sample.
11. Exhaust Filter.
Filters the exhaust air of oil
particles.
12. Air Inlet Tube. Will go inside the jacketed test
vessel during a test and supplies air to the
sample.
13. Analytical Balance. The internal analytical
balanced is housed here. The sinker is hung
from here using a platinum wire.
14. Air Inlet Connection. This is the air line to the
air inlet tube to the sample.
15. Air Outlet Connection. This is the air line
from the sample exhaust which is then filtered.

1. Power Switch. Turns the power to the unit on
or off.

3. Ethernet Port. For connecting to the internet.
4. Line Cord. Supplies power to the unit.
