4 Descriptions
4.1 Instrument Descriptions

1. Constant Temperature Bath
: For conditioning
and maintaining the temperature of up to two
pressure hydrometer cylinders at 60°F (15°C).
2. Control Panel
: Contains main controls of
constant temperature bath. Refer to Section 4.2
details on individual components.
3. Mechanically Refrigerated Chiller.
For
connection to the Constant Temperature Bath.
Cools and re-circulates bath medium to maintain
sub-ambient temperatures during testing.
4. Thermometer Port.
For insertion of an external
temperature measurement device (liquid-in-glass
thermometer or direct contact thermometer) to
verify bath temperature displayed on
temperature controller.
5. Stirrer Motor.
To agitate bath medium in order
to provide temperature uniformity in the
apparatus.
6. Temperature Measurement Probe.
Measures
direct temperature of bath and communicates
with temperature controller for display.

7. Line Switch.
For powered on entire unit.
Temperature controller LED lights and power
indicator light will illuminate.
8. Power Indicator Light.
For informing user
that instrument is powered on.
9. Temperature Controller.
For controlling
temperature of bath medium. Please refer to
Section 4.2
for more detailed operation
instructions.
10. Stirrer Switch.
Turns on stirrer motor for
enhanced temperature stability of bath.
11. Cooling Switch.
Turns on the integrated
magnetic drive pump to circulate bath medium
through mechanically refrigerated chiller.
