If you are deleting all files, a message will be displayed
asking you to confirm the action. Use the joystick to high-
light YES and press the center joystick to confirm.
All files will be deleted from the current media, or just the
last file viewed if you chose to delete a single file.
6. Press the menu button again to leave the menu.
Note: Once deleted, files cannot be recovered so make sure
you have a backup before you delete. Files that have
been protected will not be deleted. See “Protect” on
4.3.2
for more details about file protection.
4.3.2 Protect
Use the protect option to protect files from being accidentally
deleted.
To protect a file or files:
1. Turn the camera on and ensure that it is in Playback
mode.
2. Press the menu button.
3. Use the joystick to highlight the PROTECT option.
4. Use the joystick to select protect the current file, unprotect
the current file, protect all, unprotect all.
5. Press the menu button again to leave the menu.
Note: Files that have been protected cannot be deleted. To
delete a protected file, you must unprotect it first.
