3.4.4 Using the zoom function
The camera is equipped with a 3x optical zoom and a 4x
Digital zoom. The zoom function will work in Photo mode
and in Video mode. When in Video mode, the zoom must
be set before you start recording as the zoom cannot be
adjusted dur-ing the recording.
Press the right side of the zoom button to zoom in on a
Subject (get closer to it). Press the left side of the zoom
button to zoom out from the subject (move away from it).
The zoom status is indicated by the zoom bar on the right
of the screen. The line in the zoom bar indicates the point
where the optical zoom stops and the digital zoom begins.
When the optical zoom reaches the end
of its range, the digital zoom takes over.
You must take your finger off the zoom
button and press it again to start using
the digital zoom.
3.4.5 Capture mode and self timer function
The camera has three capture modes, single shot, multi-shot
and self timer. Single shot mode captures a single picture every
time the shutter is pressed. Multi shot mode captures three pic-
tures every time the shutter is pressed.
The self timer function enables you to take pictures of yourself
by adding a delay between the moment the shutter button is
pressed and the moment the picture is actually captured.
