OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
3. Installing a Saw Blade
a. Remove the battery pack from the saw.
b. Depress and hold the spindle-lock button (N).
c. While keeping the spindle-lock button depressed,
remove the blade bolt (P) by turning it clockwise with
the blade wrench (V).

to do so will prevent the blade from tightening properly

e. Use the blade-guard lever (H) to retract the lower
blade guard (I) into the upper blade guard (K). Make
sure that the lower guard works properly and allows
the guard to move freely.
f. Verify that the saw teeth, the arrow on the saw blade and the blade-rotation indicator (U) on the
blade guard are all pointing in the same direction.
NOTICE:
The saw teeth should point upward at the front of the saw, as shown in
Fig. 3
.
g. Fit the saw blade (O) inside the lower blade guard (I) and onto the spindle.

i. Depress and hold the spindle-lock button (N), and replace the blade bolt (P).

Removing the Saw Blade (Fig. 3)
a. Remove the battery pack from the saw.
b. Depress and hold the spindle-lock button (N).
c. While keeping the spindle-lock button depressed, remove the blade bolt (P) by turning it clockwise
with the wrench (V) (included).
