Store the appliance and extension cord indoors, in a cool dry location, out of reach of children and
animals.
When storing appliance in original packaging the oil tank must be completely emptied.

REPLACING THE SHARPENING STONE
REPLACE SAW CHAIN AND THE SHARPENING STONE AT THE SAME TIME. FAILURE TO DO
SO COULD RESULT IN DECREASED PERFORMANCE OR DAMAGE TO THE CHAIN AND/OR
SHARPENING STONE.
The sharpening stone is designed to wear at the same rate as the chain. Always replace the stone
when replacing the chain, even if appears to have more life.
With the chainsaw off and cool, and the power line removed from the power supply.
Loosen the cover release knob to release the chain sprocket cover. Remove the chain sprocket
cover.
Install the new sharpening stone as follows:
Remove the two screws holding the sharpening stone. Remove the stone.
Make sure the activation lever for sharpening the chain and surrounding area are free of debris.
Place the new stone in position. Replace the screws and tighten snugly.
Tighten the cover release knob to secure the chain sprocket cover.
