If possible, the parts should be cleaned dry with a cloth. Solvents
should not be used during cleaning because they could attack plastic
parts.
à
If compressed air is available, blow out parts.
9.3 Replacing diaphragm, valves and O-rings
Requirements
à
Disconnect the motor from mains and ensure that it is voltage-free.
à
Allow the pump and the motor to cool.
à
Clean the pump and free the pump of hazardous materials.
à
Remove the hoses/pipes from the pneumatic pump inlet and outlet.
CAUTION
Risk of burns from hot pump parts
The pump head or motor may still be hot after op-
eration of the pump.
à
Allow pump to cool after operation.
à
Always replace diaphragm, valves and O-rings together to maintain the
performance and safety of the pump.
WARNING
Health hazard due to dangerous substances in the
pump
Depending on the medium being transferred,
caustic burns or poisoning is possible.
à
Wear protective equipment if necessary, e.g.,
protective gloves, goggles.
à
Clean pump with suitable measures.
