3.1. Operation of the unit 

 
First you have to select the right dies (Pos.-No 4) for the intended application. 
 

Attention

 

Don’t use the tool without dies. 

 
The necessary hand forces to perform a proper crimp can be adjusted with the telescope 
handles. To do that you have to loosen the screws (Pos.-No. 2), pull the handles out and 
lock them again with the screws. 
 
The dies will be inserted consecutively into the C-type crimping head. Then the 
connecting material must be positioned in the crimping head. 
 
A crimping process is terminated when the dies contacted each other. 
 
After the crimping process has been finished the tool has to be opened and the connecting 
material can be removed from the C-head.
