Attention
Before approaching the blades with your hands and fingers e.g. for
changing the blades remove battery to avoid unintended operation.
5.2. Explanation of the application range
Our electric-hydraulic cutting tool type ESG 85 PLUS can cut copper and aluminium
conductors or cables up to a maximum diameter of 85 mm.
Attention
Do only cut copper and Aluminium conductors and cables.
If different conducting material has to be cut, please contact the manufacturer.

Do not cut Steel armed cables or conductors or cables with a steel core.
Attention
Do not cut live cables or conductors.
The ESG 85 PLUS is a hand guided tool and it is not supposed to be restrained in a vise. It
is not allowed to use the tool in a stationary applications.
The tool is not designed for continued cutting operations. After a sequence of approximately
30-40 completed cuts of above average and top sized conductors you have to make a break
of 15 min. to give the tool time to cool down.

Too intensive use can cause heat damages for the tool

During the operation of electric engines sparks can occur which might ignite
highly inflammable or explosive liquids and materials

Electric-hydraulic cutting tools should not be operated in pouring rain or under
water.
5.3. Service and maintenance instruction
The electric-hydraulic cutting unit is equipped with a sophisticated circuit board indicating
the user when the next service is due. (Pls. read chapter 4.3 for more information) The unit
must then be returned to an authorised service center.
For every day service the unit has to be cleaned and dried after each use. The battery
cartridge (Pos.-No. 7) and the charging unit have to be protected against humidity and dust.
The unit is basically maintenance-free, only the bolt joints have to be oiled regularly.
The hydraulic oil will be changed during the regular service intervals indicated by the light
diode display (Pos.-No. 6).
