1.3 Test the regulator for proper 

function

NOTE

When checking the regulator by depressing 
the purge button, the regulator may free flow 
without back pressure inside the oral nasal 
mask. This is completely normal. Placing a 
finger or hand over the outlet tube of the 
regulator will prevent free flow.
