• To adjust the skate pressure two adjusting screws
/
Á
are available.
The knurled screw
on the top is suitable for the fine-adjustment.
Via a leaf spring this screw presses against the upper skate suspension and trans-
mits the power for the skate pressure. Furthermore the screw position is used as an
indicator
Â
for the adjusted pressure.
$
The pressure of the skate should be as little as possible, but high enough to assure
a steady picture on the screen. General you can hear if the film skate pressure is
adjusted correctly or not:
- If the pressure is too low the film runs with a bad picture steadiness and a crackled
noise.
- If the skate is adjusted correctly the film runs with an even running noise.
- If the skate is adjusted too strong the film runs with a loud running noise and
the frame steadiness will get worse.
