Serial connection of several iVent 8A ventilation control panels
Options without using the Service Port Software
The following are examples of options for the serial connection of several iVent 8A ventilation control panels.
The examples should be viewed as block diagrams; the actual cable entry points are not at the positions marked!
1. Two or more iVent 8A ventilation control panels with a common master control
With this option the superior signal is forwarded to all dependent iVent 8A ventilation control panels.
Master key switch
The closer contact "OPEN" is connected to Terminal 01 and 04 of the iVent 8A

connected. The closer contact
"CLOSED" is connected to Terminal 02 and 04 of the iVent 8A
1
connected. An optional indicator (LED) can be
connected between Terminal 03 (+27 V) and Terminal 04 (GND) of the iVent 8A
1
. This indicator is illuminated as soon
as one of the iVent 8A units transmits the "window open" signal.
Vent switch
The closer contact "OPEN" is connected to Terminal 09 and 12 of the iVent 8A
1
. The closer contact "CLOSED" is
connected to Terminal 10 and 12 of the iVent 8A
1
. An optional indicator (LED) can be connected between Terminal 03
(+27 V) and Terminal 04 (GND) of the iVent 8A

. This indicator is illuminated as soon as the iVent 8A

transmits the
"window open" signal.

The signal (OPEN or CLOSE) from the key switch (
) is forwarded to the dependent iVent 8A ventilation control panels.
Each further iVent 8A ventilation control panel is to be connected to the previous one as described above. The control
of the drives by the respective iVent 8A ventilation control panel can vary from that of the other iVent 8A ventilation
control panels; for instance, control can be via vent switch for one iVent 8A ventilation control panel and by sensor
inputs for another. Control via superior LED inlet affects all iVent 8A ventilation control panels. Careful attention should
be paid to the guidance on page 19 (2.9 Superior output) or to the configuration of the Service Port Software to
"Outputs", "Signal outputs", "Superior" to "Forward superior contact input".
