OPERATION

E. Alarm Display

Once the power supply is switched on for the biomedical freezer, do not immediately add items. The unit needs to operate for a period of 24 hours before

the items can be stored in the freezer.

If the item you are adding has too much water or if excessive drying will change the humidity of the unit, it is best to have the item thoroughly sealed. The

humidity of the freezer will affect the heating of the door.

When storing items, start by adding only 1/3 of the unit’s capacity. Wait for the temperature to return to desired setting (up to 24 hours), then add enough

items to fill another 1/3 capacity.

When adding items, do not block access to other items stored in the unit.

Let the cooling process happen for as long as possible before opening the door. This will cause the temperature to rise.

Due to the location of the thermostat, the unit might have slightly different temperatures than what appears on the display. This is normal and the unit will

take time for the temperature to balance throughout the unit.

Note: children should not play in or around the biomedical freezer.
