ACCURACY CONSIDERATIONS 

 

 

Use of ORL Zero function 

This  function  is  very  useful  since  it  extends  the  practical  linear 
measurement range by about 14 dB. 
For  typical  mid-range  measurements,  it  has  a  negligible  effect  on 

measurement noise. For low level measurements, it can cause up to 
0.5 dB noise. If this happens, the solution is to reduce the residual light 
level further, and re-set the zero function.
