Removing the Battery
It may be necessary to remove the battery for recharging, storage or replacement.
ONLY AN ADULT MAY REMOVE THE BATTERY.

Unplug the engine connector
from the battery.
ONLY AN ADULT CAN CHARGE AND RECHARGE THE BATTERY.
NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the battery from the vehicle for charging.
However, if the adapter cord will not safely reach a 120-volt wall outlet, the battery
can be removed for charging (see pages 15 and 16).

Use a Phillips screwdriver to
remove the screw from the
battery bracket. Remove and
set aside the bracket and
screw. Lift the battery from
its compartment.
ONLY AN ADULT MAY
HANDLE THE BATTERY.
DO NOT drop the battery.
Permanent damage could
occur.

Use a flat head screwdriver to
unlock the two screws at the
center of the seat. Lift seat.
Lift battery cover.
