Power switch
Turn the power switch to the right. You
will hear an “ignition” sound then a
“diesel engine running” sound which
stays on until the power switch is
turned off. The power switch must be
turned on in order to drive the Fire
Engine and for the extra sounds to
function.
Main siren
To hear the “main siren”, press the
main siren button.
Air brakes
To hear the “air brakes” press the air
air brakes button.
Ignition
To hear an “ignition” sound, press
the ignition button.
Rescue button
To hear the “rescue siren” and see the
lights flash, press the rescue button.
Air horn button
To hear the siren and “honk the
horn,” press the air horn button.
Megaphone speaker
Lift speaker off hook, press the button
and talk; your voice will be amplified.

Steering wheel
Turns the Fire Engine to the left or
right.
Foot Pedal
Foot pedal
The foot pedal controls forward motion, reverse and stopping.
Forward/reverse
Push down on the foot pedal, and the Fire Engine will go forward in high or low
speed or backward in reverse.
To stop
Release the foot pedal, and the Fire Engine will stop.
NOTE:
When the foot
pedal is released, the Fire Engine will coast slightly before coming to a complete
stop.
