Smart Cruise Control may not prop

erly operate n an area (e.g. open
terrain), where any substance are
not detected after turning ON the
engine.
Limitations of the function
Smart Cruise Control may not oper

ate normally, or the function may
operate unexpectedly under the fol

lowing circumstances:
䳜 The detecting sensor or the sur

roundings are contaminated or
damaged
䳜 Washer fluid is continuously
sprayed, or the wiper is on
䳜 The camera lens is contaminated
due to tinted, filmed or coated
windscreen, damaged glass, or
stuck of foreign matters (sticker,
bug, etc.) on the glass
䳜 Moisture is not removed or frozen
on the windscreen
䳜 The field of view of the front view
camera is obstructed by sun glare
䳜 Street light or light from an
oncoming vehicle is reflected on
the wet road surface, such as a
puddle in the road
䳜 The temperature around the
front view camera is high or low
䳜 An object is placed on the dash

board
䳜 The surrounding is very bright
䳜 The surrounding is very dark, such
as in a tunnel, etc.
䳜 The brightness changes sud

denly, for example when entering
or exiting a tunnel
䳜 The brightness outside is low, and
the headlamps are not on or are
not bright

thick fog
