iPod PLAYBACK
For control and playback of your iPod via the radio, the iPod must be connected to the radio
using the USB cable supplied with the radio, as pictured above.
1) Gently open the mini USB socket cover

on the front of the radio.
2) Connect the mating mini USB connector of the supplied connecting cable to this socket.
3) Connect the Apple USB cable (supplied with iPod) to the iPod.
4) Connect the Kia USB cable (supplied with the radio) to the Apple USB cable (supplied
with iPod). The radio will automatically switch to the iPod mode and music playback will
begin.
To change to a different mode, press MODE button

Note:
When iPod playback begins, the letter ‘I’ appears on the left hand side of the display,
indicating the current USB file access reading mode is for iPod playback.

-1 CHARGING
Whilst connected to the radio using the iPod connecting cable, the iPod will be charged if the
radio is operating.
