Operation
To identify the test set serial number, send the following commands:
OUTPUT 712;"sn?"
ENTER 712;Sn$
DISP Sn$
The "idn?" command displays the instrument IP on the front panel; it does
not respond over the GPIB.
Reset Command
When the Reset command is sent, the test set is set to the default state where the attenuators
are set to 0 dB and the amplifier is switched out. (The test set is in the default state at power
on).
Switch Count Commands
Refer to the Option H01 block diagram,
for the switch paths.
To read the individual switch count, send the following command:
Output 712;”sw53?”
The above example shows the command for switch 53 only. This command returns a value that
indicates the number of times the particular switch has been addressed and switched. To enter
additional commands, refer to

Although the attenuator specification for switching and settling time is 20
milliseconds, it is recommended that test software that utilizes this test set
allow 100 milliseconds.
