Using the U3050BH11 with N5245A
This section describes how to operate the Test Set with the PNA-X. The Test Set does not
require any control signals. Power levels are controlled by the PNA-X.
The Test Set will amplify and combine Source Out Port 1 and Port 3 signals and route the signal
to the U3050BH11 Port 1. The Port 1 Reference Mixer Switch must be set to
“External” for the RCVR R1 IN to function.
The front panel bulkhead access connectors allow for custom configurations and minimizes
connections to the PNA-X. Refer to
The power level from Port 1 on the PNA-X must not exceed −10 dBm. The
power level from Port 3 on the PNA-X must not exceed 0 dBm due to the gain
of the amplifier. This is to ensure that the PNA-X RCVR A IN power level is not
exceeded (+15 dBm).
These levels can be exceeded if attenuation is placed
before the PNA-X RCVR A IN port.
