6.3 Pump maintenance
Cleaning/servicing the multi-vane impeller
Check the ease of movement of the moving parts.
Remove the intake cage.
Remove the spiral housing.
Check the multi-vane impeller for deformation and
ease of movement.
Clear the ventilation pipe.
Check the ease of movement of the float switch.
Clean the exposed multi-vane impeller using a water
bath.
Wipe the float switch down with a damp cloth.
Assemble the pump again in reverse order.
6.4 Maintenance of further system components
Screw both wing nuts off the flap housing.
Pull the flap housing with backwater flaps off.
Submerse the flap housing and backwater flaps in a water
bath. If necessary, perform additional component clean-
ing.
Vacuum out system tank with wet vacuum cleaner and
then clean system tank (interior) with damp cloth.
