Safety Instructions
Injury risk to hands and fingers
The pump(s) are equipped with open macerating / cutting blades. In order to assure
proper operation there is no protective device for these cutters. Therefore, do not
place any body parts near any moving or rotating parts and assure that you keep a
safe distance from these areas. Do not reach into the cutting assembly or pump in-
take area. Working on the pumps is only allowed when the system is disconnected
from its power source and moving parts are not longer moving. Pumps should only
be placed into operation when installed in the system. While installing the pumps
there is a danger of pinching or crushing body parts. During maintenance and repair
work consider that the pump is equipped with sharp edges.
Danger due to heavy weights
Only carry pump by the handle and not by the power chord. When inserting the
pump into the system do so slowly and carefully. The parts should only be installed
with care and precision.
Health danger / Personal protection
This wastewater pumping system can pump faecal wastewater which contains sub-
stances dangerous to your health. During any work on the system, assure that eyes,
hands, mouth and skin to not come into contact with the wastewater or any system
parts contaminated by wastewater. In the case that a body part does come in con-
tact with the wastewater or a contaminated parts, make sure to clean the area ac-
cordingly and disinfect. In addition the air inside the pumping system could also
pose a health threat.
Activation / Commissioning of the pump
Make sure all conditions on-site are appropriate before activating the system.
• Make sure that the pump never runs dry or only partially intakes wastewater.
The macerating / cutting assembly, impeller and pump housing must always be
at the minimum submersible depth.
