The m a x i m u m input frequency is 1 0 M H z .
(1) Select the T O T A L / 1 0 M H z (event input t o t a l
measurement) mode w i t h F U N C s w i t c h @ .
The selection by G A T E s w i t c h @ has no
significance in t h i s measurement mode.
(2) If you w a n t to control the event input t o t a l
measurement (event counting) e x t e r n a l l y , use the
input gate signal to T O T A L I Z E I N P U T S T A R T /
S T O P juck © on the rear panel.
If the T T L H - l e v e l signal is input to t h a t ter-
minal the event counting is enabled.
If the t e r m i n a l level becomes inactive ( T T L ' L '
level), the event processing w i l l be terminated.
In this case, the t o t a l number of events is held
by D i s p l a y © .
If no signal is input to the T O T A L I Z E I N P U T
S T A R T / S T O P juck, t h a t i s , if the t e r m i n a l is
left ' o p e n ' , the count operation w i l l be carried
out because the t e r m i n a l level is T T L ' H \ ? ? ?
(3) R E S E T s w i t c h @ is provided to reset the counter
display to ' 0 ' .
If the s w i t c h is released w i t h T O T A L I Z E I N P U T
S T A R T / S T O P juck © left O P E N , the counter
operation w i l l be s t a r t e d a t the moment.
If the T O T A L I Z E I N P U T S T A R T / S T O P juck is
used to control the event measurement, the
counter operation a f t e r the R E S E T s w i t c h release
w i l l be dependent on the t e r m i n a l T T L level.
It w i l l be s t a r t e d immediately if the t e r m i n a l
level is H . Otherwise it w i l l not be s t a r t e d .
(4) Once the event input t o t a l measurement is s t a r t e d ,
the measurement t o t a l value is output to the
display L E D continuously. The t e r m i n a l count is
. 99,999,999 ( M a x . ) . If the t o t a l number of measured
events exceeds t h a t terminal count, O V E R F L O W
L E D © w i l l be turned on while the counting
operation s t i l l continues.
(5) The counting operation may terminate in the
f o l l o w i n g possible cases :
1) The T T L level of the input gate signal to the
T O T A L I Z E I N P U T S T A R T / S T O P juck is L .
In t h i s case, the counting measurement is
terminated and the t o t a l count value is held by
D i s p l a y (5)„ If the gate signal changes its T T L
level f r o m L to H, the counting measurement
w i l l be s t a r t e d a g a i n .
