For the topping:
Egg yolk beaten with 15ml (1tbsp) water

Sesame seeds and poppy seeds,
for sprinkling, optional
1 At the end of the cycle, turn the dough out onto a
lightly floured surface. Gently knock back the dough
and divide into 12 equal pieces and hand shape.
2 After shaping, leave the dough for a final proving then
bake in your conventional oven.
Summer Fruit Jam

Note: The kneader does not operate during the first 15
minutes or the last 20 minutes of the jam program.
1. Halve the strawberries if large and place in the pan with
the raspberries and redcurrants. Add the rest of the
ingredients.
2. At the end of the cycle, switch off and pour the jam into
a sterilised jar, seal and label.
Gingerbread

Bicarbonate of Soda

1 Place the butter, syrup, treacle and sugar in a small
saucepan and heat gently until melted, stirring
occasionally. Leave to cool slightly then pour into the
bread pan.
2 Add the milk and egg to the bread pan.
3 Sift the flour, ginger, baking powder and bicarbonate of
soda together and add to the pan.
Note: Gingerbread is best left stored in an
airtight container for 24 hours before eating,
to allow time for it to become sticky.
