SWITCHING ON AND OFF
• Connect the machine to the tractor's rear 3-point linkage.
• Connect the PTO shaft. Adjust the length if required. (See Instruction p.30).
• Secure the chain properly.
• Ready for use.
• Switch off the tractor engine.
• Make sure the drive wheel has come to a complete standstill before disconnecting the PTO
shaft.
• Before disconnecting the verge flail mower from the tractor, park it on a level and firm sur-
face. Make sure it cannot fall over.
FAULT MEASURE
The verge flail mower cuts
unevenly or badly Check that all flails are intact and firmly in position.
Adjust the support roller and check that is in the correct
position.
Check the drive belts and tighten if necessary
The cutting sound changes Check the roller.
Check the tension of the drive belts.
Check the flails.
Vibrations Check the flails
Hydraulics do not work Check hoses and connections
SERVICE INTERVAL MEASURE
Flails Before each use Replace all defective flails. Sharp blades
give better results. When replacing blades,
tighten bolts fully.
While operating Listen out for noises

Transmission oil
