11 Operation
After connecting the supply voltage the pyrometer will be automatically initialized
and will perform a self-diagnosis� After approx� 0�5 sec the sensor is ready to
operate and the instrument runs the signal processing�
11.1 Ambient temperature
The maximum permissible ambient operating temperature for the pyrometer is
65 °C� If the instrument is used in ambient temperatures above 65 °C, it must be
either cooled or shielded from excess radiant heat by means of a deflector plate�
