10 Parameterizing
Parameters can be set via the IO-Link interface before installation and
commissioning of the unit or during ongoing operation�
Changing the parameters during operation will affect the functioning of
the system� Before parameters are changed, it must be ensured that no
malfunction occurs in the system�
10.1 Damping function
When the target object‘s temperature is erratic, the damping function smoothens
these temperature fluctuations in order to stabilize the measuring signal� The
greater the time constant [dAP], the lower the effect of these fluctuations on the
yielded temperature reading�
