OUTPut subsystem
This subsystem is used to turn the source output on or off, and to control the Digital I/O
port output enable line. These commands are summarized in
.
Turn source on or off
[:STATe] <b>
:OUTPut[1][:STATe] <b>
Turn source on or off
Parameters
<b> =
0 or OFF
Turn source off (standby)
1 or ON
Turn source on (operate)
Query
:OUTPut?
Query state of source
Description
This command is used to turn the source output on or off. Control or
measurements cannot be performed while the source is off. Turning the
source off places the Model 2510 in the idle state.
Output enable line control
:STATe <b>
:OUTPut[1]:ENABle[:STATe] <b>
Control enable line
Parameters
<b> =
0 or OFF
Turn off enable line
1 or ON
Turn on enable line
Query
:STATe?
Query state of enable
Description
This command is used to activate or inactivate the hardware output
enable line. When activated, the source cannot be turned on unless the
output enable line (pin 8 of the rear panel Enable - Digital I/O connec-
tor) is pulled to a logic low state. When the enable line goes to a logic
high state, the source turns off. See
,
, for details using the enable line with a test fixture.
When disabled, the logic level on the enable line has no effect on the
output state of the source.
:TRIPped?
:OUTPut[1]:ENABle:TRIPped?
Description
This query command is used to determine if the output enable line state
has been tripped. The tripped condition (“1”) means that the source can
be turned on (enable line at logic low level). A “0” will be returned if the
source cannot be turned on (enable line at logic high level).
