WARNING
The maximum safe voltage between the voltage source or ammeter
common and chassis ground (common mode voltage) is 505V peak.
Exceeding this voltage can create a shock hazard.

Connecting cables and test leads
When making precision measurements, you should always use low-noise triax cables for
INPUT connections. As a general rule, always use the shortest possible cable for measure-
ments. When using the voltage source, the test leads must be rated for 505V minimum and
should include safety sheaths. See
“Input cables, connectors, and adapters,” page 1-4
for recommended cables and test leads.
