NOTE
Specify the IP address of your instrument as determined earlier in this guide. Leave
the IP Port set to 1394 for use with the Model 2701.
Once you have completed configuring your instrument, you may exit the configuration
utility. If you want to run the wizard again, you may select Help>>Show Wizard to reopen the
wizard.
Advanced configuration
The configuration panel may be used to adjust advanced configuration settings by those
familiar with VISA and IVI Instrument configuration. We recommend you not adjust advanced
settings unless you are completely familiar with their purpose and effects.
One advanced setting that many advanced users may wish to adjust is the QueryInstrStatus
attribute setting. By default, the KE2700 Instrument Driver checks the instrument for errors
after every command. While this provides the safest operation and provides the most useful
information in the event of a program or instrument fault, disabling this feature considerably
speeds up instrument communications. Advanced users may wish to modify the setting of this
attribute as described below. We recommend that you leave this function enabled until you are
satisfied your application is operating correctly. Then, turn off the error checking to improve
performance.
To change the attributes of QueryInstrStatus, use the following procedure.
