DANGER
Live parts
Danger of life or fatal injury due to electric
shock when touching live parts.
• Switch neutral
• Secure against reconnection
• Check for neutrality
• Ground and short-circuit
• Cover or shield any adjacent live parts or
components
Both the power supply and the related connection
work must comply with national standards and local
regulations. The connection work and replacement
of the power supply cord must only be performed
by qualified, trained and authorized service techni-
cians. The connection to the 3 x 220 V mains must
be protected by maximum over current protection.
For Canada a Class-A ground fault circuit interrupter
(GFCI) has to be used. Further information can be
found in operating instructions chapter “Technical
data”.
CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS
The electrical installation must be equipped with
a freely accessible all-pole disconnecting device
in accordance with the overvoltage category III.
(Master switch with clearly marked on/off settings
e.g. “O” and “I” or additional indicator light). The
master switch shall be fitted externally on the side of
the tanning booth, so the operator can access it at
any time, even when the tanning device is in opera-
tion. This means that for full separation each pole
must have a contact gap according to the condi-
tions of the overvoltage category III. The device shall
be capable of being locked in the off-position and
shall comply with IEC 60447. A supply main switch
must not be incorporated in the power supply cord.
A Class-A ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) has
to be used for Canada. Should the operation of the
tanning device cause any interference in the power
supply network, e.g. with ripple-control systems
(TRA), consult your power supply company to have
corresponding blocking elements (audio frequency
suppressors) installed.
