DECORATIVE TUBE IN THE BASE SECTION
The coloured fl uorescent tube in the base part is
located behind the front cover, underneath the bed
pane. Proceed as follows to replace this tube:

Remove the front cover. It is fi xed with screws
at two places along the upper edge (
fi gure
37.1)
and engaged in notches at the side
edges (
fi gure 37.2)
. The following photos show
how the cover is fi xed on the left-hand side.

The fl uorescent tube is now freely accessible and
can be replaced. The starter is located on the left-
hand side. Also replace the starter
(fi gure 37.3, zoomed)
when replacing the tube.

Filter pads
CLEANING CYCLE
The cooling air is sucked in via two dust fi lters.
Depending on the location, clean the fi lter pads
after approx. 100 hour of operation, or replace
them, if necessary. Only use original fi lter pads for
replacement in order to ensure a troublefree operation.
Take the opportunity to check if the heat exchangers
inside the air-conditioning unit are soiled. Dirty heat
exchangers substantially reduce the performance
of the air-conditioning unit. Vacuum-clean them if
necessary.
FILTER PADS IN THE CANOPY AND IN THE BASE
SECTION
The fi lter pad of the canopy section
(fi gure 37.4)
is
located in the gripping profi le of the canopy; the fi lter
pad of the base section
(fi gure 37.5)
is fi tted behind the
front lighting. The pads can simply be removed and
cleaned or replaced.
