WARNINGS, NOTICES and TIPS

WARNINGS:

You must read and understand these instructions before riding.

•The rider must be at least 16 years of age;

•  The child seat is only suitable for transporting children with a maximum weight of 33lbs / 15kg, with a age

limit of 4 years. Check the child’s weight regularly and do not carry a child that weighs more than this;

•

DO NOT

carry a child who is less than 12 months of age in this carrier. To be a passenger, the child must

be able to sit up straight with their head held upright while wearing a bicycle helmet. A doctor should be

consulted about any child who is of questionable development age;

•  Check if all parts of the bicycle function correctly with the child seat mounted;

•  Do not install this child seat on a racing style bicycle (drop handlebar);

•  Secure the child on the child seat ensuring that all the safety belts and straps are applied firmly but not so

tight as to cause discomfort to the child;

•  Make sure the seat stays slightly reclined towards the back and not towards the front, to prevent the child

from slipping out of place;

•  The child seat must never be used before adjusting the safety belt;

•  Do not allow any part of the child’s body or clothing, shoelaces, child seat belts, etc. to come in contact with

moving parts of the bicycle because this can be harmful to the child or cause accidents;

•  A wheel protector is recommended to prevent the child from inserting its feet or hands into the spokes;

•  Dress the child with proper clothes according to weather conditions;

•  The rider and the child being carried should wear helmets that meet Consumer Product Safety Commission

standards for bike helmets;

•  Do not leave the child in the child carrier unattended when the bicycle is supported only by the kickstand;

•  Avoid riding in inclement or hazardous conditions, including temperatures below freezing that could cause

the child to suffer frostbite;

•  Additional luggage or accessories should not be attached to the carrier seat. If additional loads are to be

carried on the bicycle the should be placed only in carriers designed specifically for that purpose and they

must be securly attached;

•  When the child seat is not in use, fasten the wasit buckle of the security harness to prevent the straps from

dangling and entering in contact with some moving part of the bicycle such as wheels, brakes, etc. as this

may be a hazard to the cyclist;

•  Check the screws regularly and replace any when required;

•  Do not permit the child to carry refreshments, food or toys while riding in the child carrier. These items may

distract the cyclist and if thrown by the child, they may cause loss of control of the bicycle;

•  The position of the child seat must be adjusted so that the bicycle rider does not touch the carrier with their

feet when in motion;

•  The weight of the rider and the child carried must never be more than the maximum load allowed for the

bicycle. Check the bicycle instructions manual on the bicycle supplier to make sure if the bicyce supports

this additional load;

•  You must cover any sharp or pointy object of the bicycle that may be reached by the child;

•  The seat and cushion can get hot if under the sun for a long time. Make sure that they aren’t too hot before

seating the child;

•  Check that the seat functions correctly when mounted;

•  Check the laws and regulations in your country, related to carrying children in seats attached to cycles;

CAUTION:

Front seats reduce the maneuverability of the bicycle;

WARNING:

Do not attach additional luggage to the child carrier;

WARNING:

Do not modify the child seat;

WARNING:

The bicycle may behave differently with a child in the seat particularly with regard to balance,

steering and braking. Use extra caution when riding;

WARNING:

Never leave the bicycle parked with a child in the seat unattended;

CAUTION:

Do not use the seat if any part is broken.
