5.7 To adjust the brake pads
The brake pads must press against the middle of the rim.
The brake pads must not touch the tire or move below the
bottom edge.

If it is necessary, loosen the hex nut that holds the brake
pad and adjust the position of the pad. (Figure 13)

If it is necessary, replace the brake pads. Refer to a
service center.
5.8 To adjust the handlebar post

Release the expander screw (A) on the top of the
handlebar post until the expander key comes loose.
Carefully tap the expander screw if the key does not
come loose by itself. (Figure 14)

Move the handlebar post up or down to a position
where you can sit comfortably and can easily reach
the handlebars and the brake lever.

Make sure that the handlebar post is in line with the
front wheel.
Note!
Make sure that the marking for the top position (B) on
the handlebar post is below the edge of the fork tube.

Make sure that the expander screw is fully tighten.
The handlebar must not rotate in the fork tube.
5.9 To adjust the gears

Engage the second gear. (Figure 15)

Turn the adjusting nut on the gear on the right side of
the rear hub until the yellow marker in the window is
between the 2 white lines.

Tighten the lock nut.
6 Troubleshooting
Problem

Brakes do not
function properly.
The brake pads are worn out.
Replace the brake pads. Refer to “5.7 To adjust the brake
pads” on page 32
The handbrake lever is not adjusted
correctly.
Do a check of the handbrake lever. Adjust it if necessary.
Refer to “5.5 To adjust the brake lever” on page 31
The brake wire is broken.
Replace the brake wire. Contact a authorized service
center if necessary.
Squeaking bike
Moving parts are not lubricated.
Locate where the noise is coming from. Do a check of the
rear wheel, brake pads, chain, chain ring bolts, saddle
post and pivot points on the product. Lubricate and/or
replace worn parts.
Chain skips
Chain is too loose and/or worn out.
Adjust the chain or replace if necessary. Refer to”5.4 To
adjust the chain” on page 31
Wheels are not aligned correctly.
Do a check of he wheels and realign. Refer to “5.3 To do a
check of tires and rims” on page 31
Hard to pedal
The brakes are rubbing.
Do a check of the brakes. Refer to “5.6 To adjust the brake
arm spring tension” on page 31 and “5.7 To adjust the
brake pads” on page 32
The rims are damaged or deformed.
Do a check the front and the rear rims. Repair or replace
damage rims. Contact a authorized service center if
necessary.
7 Storage
Store the product in a dry area, protected from direct
sunlight and wet conditions.
8 Disposal
Make sure that you follow local regulations when you
discard the product. Do not burn the product.
