5 Operation
CAUTION
Danger to health due to wrong diagnosis as a result of a camera image. The camera
is not a diagnostic instrument!
Danger of incorrect treatment.
▶ Do not use the camera as a diagnostic instrument.
▶ Include other diagnostic tools (e.g. probe/X-ray) to obtain a diagnosis.
5.1 Switching the camera on and off
Requirement
The treatment unit must be turned on.
Requirement
The PC must be switched on.
▶ Remove the camera from the holder

The camera automatically switches off.
▶ Place the camera in the holder.
ð
The camera automatically switches off.
Note
You can see if the camera is working properly by the video image and an active
LED.
CAUTION
Danger of blinding due to active LED lighting.
Reversible blinding.
▶ Do not point the camera with activated LED lighting toward the eyes!
5.2 Focusing of the camera
The focusing of the camera is accomplished via operating distance. The camera deliv-
ers a sharp image in the range of 10 - 25 mm.
5.3 Taking image
Requirement
The "Record image" mode is set in the multimedia menu of the treatment unit.
▶ There are two possibilities available for the creation of a fixed image: Either press
the trigger button or the foot control of the treatment unit (this option is not avail-
able on all treatment units).
