9 Mounting the spindle
9.1 Note down the serial number
Note
Prior to mounting the spindle, the serial number and spindle dimension X of the
new spindle need to be noted down for later recording.
▶ Read the data on the nameplate of the new spindle.

9.2 Cleaning the clamping surfaces
Note
Machine damage due to soiled clamping surfaces.
▶ Make sure that there is no dirt, chips, burrs, and coolant lubricant on any of
the clamping surfaces.
Note
Machine damage due to cleaning with compressed air.
▶ Do not clean the machine with compressed air.
▶ Before assembly, clean the cylindrical clamping surface of the spindle ① and
the clamping surface of the chuck block ②.
