Test set-up
① Measuring equipment ② KaVo ARCTICA Engine
9.1 and 9.3: measuring cables
▶ Connect measuring cables to the KaVo ARCTICA Engine.
▶ Switch on the KaVo ARCTICA Engine.
▶ Switch on the test equipment and test the test equipment.
▶ Enter the serial number of the ARCTICA.
▶ Start the test.
16.3.4 Measuring the protective earth conductor current
Threshold values: I ≤ 3.5 mA
Two measuring methods can be used:
▪ Direct measurement: No part of the KaVo ARCTICA Engine may be connec‐
ted to earth potential.
▪ Equivalent leakage current measurement: Use only if the earlier measurement
of insulation resistance produced a positive result.
