risk of death by electrocution; those procedures shall be executed only by
trained personnel.
Crucible

replacement
IMPORTANT
: Always disconnect the instrument from the power outlet when
working with panels removed. Risk of electrocution!
The crucible heating element comprises a single wire, wound in a spiral into
ceramic insulators plates. The resulting assembly is inserted into a soft thermal
insulation shell.
Then, a clear tube is inserted to protect the element from flux spills and halogen
gases released by non-wetting agents. This tube can be removed from the
heating element, in order to replace independently either the element or the tube.
Heating element removal
1.
Disconnect the instrument from the wall outlet and wait for the heaters to cool
down completely.
2.
Wear surgical-style gloves. They will protect you from the insulation fibers,
and will protect the heating element’s clear tubes from your skin oil.
3.
Remove the crucible from the heater, if applicable.
4.
Loosen the element leads connection.
4.1
Manually tilt the crucible heater in the pouring position.
