Inspect the heater cavity, and look for molten flux spills. If molten flux is
found, scrape the insulation clean, or replace the soft insulation completely.
IMPORTANT:
Remember that molten flux on the soft insulation could transfer
onto the new element and ruin it rapidly. Ensure that the heater’s cavity is
completely clean before installing a new element.

Carefully insert the new element into the connector, and into the opening on
the top of the heater’s soft insulation. Be extra cautious to not crush the
thermocouple tip.
5.
Tighten the element connection screws ; tighten firmly, to ensure a good
electrical contact.
6.
Re-install the five ceramic plates.
7.
Re-install the top ring, and fasten its five (5) screws.
8.
Re-install the thermocouple cover.
