STEP 3:

INSTALL LCD

Hold the LCD gently in one hand as you slide the ribbon cable into its connector with the other hand
(3a).  Make sure the brown lever on the connector is in its up position, and that the ribbon cable
inserts fully and squarely.  If you want to have the white plastic holder together with the LCD (as
shown in the pictures) you can, but I most often add it later.  Use your fingertip or other pointy thing
to push the brown lever down, locking the ribbon cable in place (3b).  Check that you have the
ribbon locked in its fully inserted position.  If the ribbon is at an angle or not in all the way, some or
all of the LCD will not display when you turn it on.  If you don’t already have the white plastic
holder in position, do so now.  The fold in the ribbon cable is supposed to be sandwiched between
the main board and the holder.  Use your #0 Phillips to put in the two bottom screws (3c & 3d).
Finally, carefully slide the LCD into the plastic holder (3e), all the way until the bottom tabs wrap
around the bottom edge of the LCD (3f).
