The handpiece is recognized and the corresponding information displayed.

Press the right footswitch pedal.

The motor starts.

Release the footswitch pedal.

The motor stops immediately.

Change the direction of rotation by pressing the mid button of the footswitch.

The displayed direction of rotation changes.
For devices with motor socket M2:
D
Connect a handpiece to the motor socket M2.
D
Select the handpiece M2 on the touch screen.

The handpiece is recognized and the corresponding information displayed.
D
Press the right footswitch pedal.
✓
The motor starts.
D
Release the footswitch pedal.
✓
The motor stops immediately.
D
Change the direction of rotation by pressing the mid button of the footswitch.

The displayed direction of rotation changes.
For devices providing a pump:
D
Press the left footswitch pedal.
✓
The pump starts running.
D
Change the flow of the pump via touch screen.
✓
The pump has to run regularly at all settings.
D
Open the tensioning lever of the pump.
✓
The error message E16 Irrigation pump not closed is displayed.
D
Close the tensioning lever of the pump again.
✓
The error message disappears.
4.2.4. System Information

By pressing the wrench button switch to the Settings menu and choose System Information .
D
Check the displayed system information.
✓
The serial number displayed on the touch screen has to comply with the one printed on the labelling
at the back of the housing cover.
D
Note the displayed software versions.
D
Return to the Settings menu by pressing the X button.
4.2.5. Test for proper operation ECO devices

Connect the power cord and switch the device on.

While switched on the power switch has to be illuminated.
✓
The error message E11 (no footswitch) is displayed.
