Assembly
See the illustrations on the fold-out page to install the
appliance.
1. Connect the coupling to the water connection and
tighten it.

2. Connect the high-pressure hose to the trigger gun.

For removal, press the unlock button of the trigger
gun, and unplug the high-pressure hose.

3. Ensure that the high-pressure hose is securely con-
nected to the trigger gun by pulling the high-pres-
sure hose.
Initial start-up
1. Place the appliance on the even surface.
2. Connect the high-pressure hose to the high-pres-
sure connection located on the appliance.

3. Connect the power cable to the power supply.
Water connection
Note
To protect from the impurities in the water, the KÄRCH-
ER water filter (optional accessory, order no. 4.730-
059.0) is recommended.
For the connection values, see the type plate and the
technical data.
Observe the regulations of the water supplier.
1. Connect the hose coupling to the end of the water
supply hose.

2. Insert the water supply hose into the coupling ele-
ment for the water connection.

3. Connect the other end of water supply hose to the
water supply.
4. Turn the water tap on completely.
Note
The appliance is designed with self-priming function.
The appliance can get the water by putting the water
supply hose into the water bucket.
Operation
ATTENTION
Pump running dry
Damage to the device
If pressure does not build up in the device after 2 min-
utes then switch the device off and proceed according
to the instructions in chapter Troubleshooting guide.
High-pressure operation
Note
Maintain a spraying distance of at least 30 cm when
cleaning the painted surfaces.
1. Insert the spray lance into the trigger gun, and turn
the spray lance by 90° to lock it.

2. Set the appliance switch to “1/ON”.
3. Unlock the lever on the trigger gun.
4. Switch on the appliance by pulling on the lever of the
trigger gun.
5. Switch off the appliance by releasing the lever of the
trigger gun. High pressure remains in the appliance.
Foam nozzle
1. Fill the detergent solution in the detergent tank of the
foam nozzle (observe dosage instructions on the
packaging of the detergent).

2. Connect the detergent tank to the foam nozzle.

3. Connect the foam nozzle to the trigger gun, and turn
the foam nozzle by 90° to lock it.

Recommended cleaning method
1. Spray the detergent sparingly on the dry surface,
and allow the detergent to react, but not to dry.
2. Spray off loosened dirt with the high pressure.
Interrupting the operation
1. Release the lever on the trigger gun.
2. Lock the lever on the trigger gun.
3. If it is a longer interruption (e.g. more than 5 min-
utes), set the appliance switch to "0/OFF".
Finishing the operation
Note
Separate the high-pressure hose from the trigger gun or
the appliance when there is no pressure in the system.
1. After operation with detergent: Operate the appli-
ance for approximately 1 minute for a clear rinse.
2. Release the lever on the trigger gun.
3. Set the appliance switch to "0/OFF".
4. Unplug the power cable from the power supply.
5. Turn the water tap off.
6. Press the lever on the trigger gun to release any re-
maining pressure in the system.
7. Lock the lock button on the trigger gun.
8. Disconnect the appliance from the water supply.
